The AXIS Q16 Network Camera series consists of indoor and outdoor-ready fixed cameras that deliver excellent image quality in challenging video surveillance conditions, such as low-light environments or situations where the light varies widely.

The indoor AXIS Q1602 and also the outdoor-ready model AXIS Q1602-E are designed for video surveillance in low-light situations, where users require a color video image for better recognition and identification of objects and people.

The unique Lightfinder technology developed by Axis makes the AXIS Q1602 / -E cameras extremely sensitive with a low light output and enables them to look at very dark conditions.

The Lightfinder technology includes a CMOS sensor with exceptional light sensitivity. However, the technology is more than just the sensor. With AXIS proven image processing, which is used in all AXIS network video products, the detailed software sets set the degree of filtering and sharpness to produce the best possible image quality.

The AXIS Q1602 / -E cameras deliver progressive scan image quality in extended D1 (768x576) resolution, multiple, individually configurable H.264 and Motion JPEG video streams simultaneously.

Installation is easy with Power over Ethernet (PoE, IEEE 802.3af), eliminating the need for separate power cables. The cameras also have an SD / SDHC memory card slot to be able to store recordings locally.
