VIP X1600

VIP X1600 XF is a modular, powerful CCTV video encoder system. Each VIP X1600 XF is a 4x4 device that can accommodate up to four interchangeable hot-swap modules, so that modules can be added or exchanged at any time without interrupting the signal to the channels of other modules. The VIP-X1600-XFB chassis system has two 1 Gbps Ethernet ports on the front and one additional 1 Gbps Ethernet port on the rear.

This results in a greater choice of network connectivity and simpler in-rack cabling, for example a direct connection to an iSCSI disk array. This chassis system also has a 1 Gbps SFP slot (small form factor pluggable) on the front, for example for an optical transceiver, to establish a direct fiber optic connection to an external network. For applications that cannot use this advanced function, the VIP-X1600-B chassis system is available, with only two 1 Gbps Ethernet ports, one on the front and one on the rear.

The VIP X1600 XF H.264 Main Profile encoder modules (VIPX1600XFM4A / XFM4B) provide real-time video over IP with H.264 compression. This makes two independent streams available for each camera, with full frame rate and the best quality for different purposes. For example, one stream can be used for live playback with minimal delay, while the second stream is optimally set to use as little storage capacity as possible. In addition, they are equipped with a hardware accelerator for VCA functions, giving decentralized intelligence a new dimension.

A version of the module is also available that supports BILINX communication via coaxial cables. You can view the images on a PC with the versatile Bosch video management system, with or without the Bosch IntuiKey control panel. You can also use a web browser instead. These high-quality, multi-channel devices with decentralized iSCSI recording ensure the highest quality Video-over-IP that can be found in the CCTV industry today. VIP X1600 XF has been designed with reliability in mind. It is equipped with interchangeable hot-swap modules, two redundant power inputs and redundant network ports. With the Bosch Video SDK, the VIP X1600 XF can be integrated into other video management systems.
