AXIS Surveillance Card 128 GB is a high-quality edge storage solution optimized for video surveillance. Edge storage enables flexible storage solutions such as decentralized video recording and may eliminate the need for an onsite server, DVR or NVR.

In applications with bandwidth limitations, live video can be viewed in low resolution while high resolution video is stored locally on AXIS Surveillance Card 128 GB. Combined with Axis Zipstream technology, even high-resolution video can be effectively captured locally on AXIS Surveillance Card 128 GB, both for primary storage and as redundancy for failover recording in case of lost connections.

Standalone recording solution

AXIS Surveillance Card 128 GB together with your SD card supported Axis IP camera is a standalone recording solution. It enables monitoring and recording on locations, even without network connectivity.

How much storage do I need?

The retention time of the card depends on how the cameras are configured to record at different frame rates and resolutions depending on motion detection, alarm events and hours of the day. As a usage scenario, we provide two predefined scenarios with a 1080p HDTV camera with Zipstream provided by AXIS Site Designer for comparison:
