Sony Realshot Manager is professional surveillance software for SOny network cameras only.

Sony's RealShot Manager software has various distinguishing features compared to other s / w developers. The software is fully event-driven, i.e. the s / w responds to events such as motion detection, alarms and of course to manual actions.

The interface to the user can be adjusted to a very high degree with the very powerful layout editor. You can, for example, use your own floor plans, maps, schemes of buildings, etc. These are used as a background in which action areas are marked and linked to specific actions (go to different layout), cameras or monitoring windows.

RealShot Recording

The RealShot software offers a lot of flexibility for making recordings. There can be manually; on specific times; and based on alerting recordings are initiated for individual and groups of cameras. The pre-alarm video images are also saved. For each camera it can be set where the video images are to be stored. Video is directed directly to the storage device, so without the intervention of the monitoring station. Relatively low resolutions and frame rates are sufficient for monitoring, while a "better" video image is important when recording. RealShot provides this by offering the option of using a different refresh rate and resolution when a recording starts. Playback of recorded video images can take place simultaneously with recording of new images from the same camera.

Search Recording GUI

A Search Recording GUI is available for searching recordings. M.b.v. a calendar shows all the recordings made by a camera (or camera group). That display can be filtered at specific times, alarm events and comments. Thumbnails display previews to further facilitate searching.

Multi-user and security

There are extensive features available to provide security in a multi-user environment. Privileges per user and group determine who has access to specific cameras and camera groups. This allows a clear separation to be made between, for example, the reception and security staff.

Licenses and support

Sony RealShot is available in licenses for 1, 4, 9, 16 or 32 network video sources. A maximum of 32 streams per (Windows NT / 2000 / XP) workstation is supported. When purchasing a Sony RealShot product, one year of PrimeSupport is included for telephone support on business days during office hours.
