AXIS 242S

The AXIS 242S IV Video Server is a video server with a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) from Texas Instruments. This offers unique possibilities for executing advanced embedded applications such as "counting" of people, "tripping wire" detection, and other advanced intelligent video solutions. Tailor-made solutions for retail, transport and security can be uploaded in the AXIS 242S IV for demanding video and audio analyzes.

All analyzes are performed on location, in the video server, making the scalability of the solution virtually infinite. It is capable of performing both video and audio analyzes, including sophisticated functions such as the built-in motion detection and event management.

The AXIS 242S IV Video Server delivers high quality video at 30/25 (NTSC / PAL) frames per second with a de-interlace filter which improves the image quality in the highest resolution (4CIF). This feature eliminates the motion blur problems caused by an analog video signal. Moreover, the video server is equipped with a complete set of security features, such as multiple access levels, HTTPS encryption and IP address filtering.
