The AXIS Q8108-R is an 8-channel network video recorder (NVR) specifically designed for public and commercial applications in the transport sector. It offers uninterrupted in-vehicle recordings in full frame rate HDTV resolution from 1 to 8 connected cameras. An 8-channel version of AXIS Camera Station video management software is available in the NVR.

Reliable operation

The product has been tested in accordance with current shock and vibration standards. The electronic components are protected by a robust aluminum housing, which can be supplied with a cable seal on request to meet an IP65 rating. The NVR is equipped with a battery backup to remain in operation in the event of a short power outage. In the event of a longer power failure, the NVR performs a controlled shutdown and restarts automatically when the power supply is back in order. The integrated voltage protection eliminates voltage spikes that may occur in the vehicle.

Easy installation

The built-in 8-port PoE switch offers a simple, fast and cost-effective solution for supplying power to the network cameras in the vehicle. The AXIS Q8108-R supports the use of one or two separate hard disk drives and the SATA connectors make placement and replacement easy.

Customization for specific project requirements

The AXIS Q8108-R supports options such as WLAN / GSM / UMTS / HSDPA, GPS and accelerometer, and is open to third-party software to enable project-specific requirements. Think of wireless transfer of recordings, real-time monitoring and vehicle management, etc.

Matching cameras

AXIS has various types of cameras in its range that are ideally suited for use in vehicles. For example the M3113-R and M3114-R cameras with resp. VGA and HDTV resolutions are very compact, tamper-resistant cameras that are relatively easy to install in vehicles.

The camera is supplied without power supply because it is, among other things, intended for installation in vehicles with 12V or 24V. You need a separate power supply for connection to 230V. You must also order hard disk separately.
