The SNC-ZR550 Network Rapid Dome camera is equipped with IPELA Hybrid Sony's overcoax technology that allows customers to easily migrate to HD IP video surveillance systems, using existing analog infrastructure such as cables, power supplies, switches, controllers and monitors, minimizing investment in new infrastructure. IPELA Hybrid offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly installation.

The SNC-ZR550 offers Dual Streaming, which can contain any combination of three industry-standard compression formats JPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264, meaning that the camera uses the best compression format for all types of data. The camera also offers an autofocus zoom lens, 360 degree endless rotation, a maximum HD resolution of 1280x720, and the Exmor CMOS sensor of the 1/4 type for high image quality and low noise.

PrimeSupport of 1 year is included as standard in the EU, Norway and Switzerland. This gives access to an expert help desk and, in the unlikely event of a malfunction, will ensure that a replacement unit is delivered within a target day of one business day. An additional support of 2 years is also available as an option.
