Sony SNC-RX530P/BC

The SNC-RX530 is the most inexpensive model from the versatile SNC-RX series and offers an 18x optical zoom, so that even distant objects can be viewed clearly. In combination with the 18x digital zoom, the SNC-RX530 delivers maximum zoom power of 216x.

All SNC-RX series network Dome cameras offer built-in Intelligent Object Detection and Intelligent Motion Detection features. The cameras can also rotate freely and endlessly (360 degrees), so that users can view the area around the camera unhindered.

The advanced image processing technology offers a choice of three compression formats - JPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264 so that the user can select the most suitable format that best fits the network environment and monitoring application. The "Dual Encoding Capability" allows simultaneous streaming of video in JPEG and MPEG-4.

Designed for 24x7 operation, the SNC-RX series offers a Day / Night function, for clear images even in 0.15 lx light conditions.

360 degree endless pan, tilt and 18x zoom

The SNC-RX530 has a 360 degree endless pan, a -90 to 0 degree tilt range and 18x optical zoom capability to offer full visibility to the camera environment. With a pan and tilt speed of 300 degrees per second, the desired position is reached very quickly. A maximum of 16 preset positions can be set with a return accuracy of ± 0.2 degrees.

Day / Night function

The IR filter in the SNC-RX provides the day / night function and switches between color and black / white mode. This function is automatic but can be set at fixed times or operated manually if required. In the night mode, a low light output is sufficient for the camera to still be able to produce images. That sensitivity can be improved by using one or more IR illuminators.

Multiple compression formats (JPEG, MPEG4, H.264)

Depending on the application and available bandwidth in the network, you can choose from the most optimal codec. The compression ratio of MPEG-4 is typically four times higher than JPEG, while the H.264 compression ratio is twice higher than MPEG4. In other words, the H.264 compression is ideal for networks where the available bandwidth is limited, MPEG-4 is ideal for live video monitoring and JPEG for high quality recordings.

MPEG4 and JPEG dual encoding capability

The SNC-RX series can generate MPEG4 and JPEG images simultaneously. This dual encoding is ideal for environments where local recording and viewing are desired and the available bandwidth is sufficient and enables high quality JPEG recording and efficient MPEG4 viewing streams (via the Internet).

Intelligent motion detection

The camera is equipped with a built-in motion detection function that can start a variety of actions such as saving and sending video images and controlling external equipment via relays. Unlike conventional motion detection where the current video image is compared to the previous one, the SNC-RX analyzes the last 15 frames to judge if there is "motion". This avoids unwanted detection (noise), resulting in fewer unintended alarms. This motion detection cannot be used simultaneously with the object detection.

Intelligent object detection

The SNC-RX can detect objects that are located for a specific period of time and at a specific location. Suspect, "luggage left behind" can be traced in this way, but also stopped cars after an accident. A maximum of four detection areas can be defined.br>

Image stabilization

The image stabilization function reduces the presence of jerky images due to low frequency vibrations. This function is useful in applications with cameras placed outside the home, monitoring of road traffic, etc.

Anti tamper function

By using a digital signature based on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology, the SNC-RX lets users verify the origin of the video images and ensures that the images have not been tampered with. This function is only available if the recording software used supports it.

Sensor IN / Alarm OUT ports

Equipped with two sensor inputs, the SNC-RX can receive triggers from external sensors. Two alarm outputs are also available to trigger other equipment for a variety of actions.

Pre / Post-Alarm Image Storage

The SNC-RX is capable of storing both pre- and post-alarm images on removable media such as ATA memory cards and Memory Stick media when an alarm is triggered.

Multicasting capability

The SNC-RX has built-in multicasting capability for MPEG-4 and H.264 video. If configured i.c.m. a multicast router allows the unit to efficiently stream video and audio to a large number of concurrent users.
