The outdoor-ready AXIS P5522-E PTZ Dome Network Camera is a compact and affordable day and night pan / tilt / zoom camera. It is suitable for numerous surveillance applications in, for example, parking garages, construction offices, etc.

Pan / tilt / zoom capability

The PTZ camera allows the user to rotate the camera 360 degrees (pan), rotate 180 degrees and zoom in 18x (with autofocus) for detailed images. The advanced Gatekeeper functionality sets the camera to a preset position when motion is detected in a predefined area.

High quality video

Thanks to the day / night function of the camera, high image quality is maintained even in low light conditions. The AXIS P5522-E offers H.264 and Motion JPEG streams in full frame rate and D1 resolution (720x576 in 50 Hz). H.264 optimizes bandwidth and storage without compromising image quality.

Simple and reliable installation

The AXIS P5522-E supports standard Power over Ethernet for easy installation. The camera is connected to a PoE-enabled switch or via a PoE midspan to a switch with only a network cable over which power, video / audio and PTZ controls are conducted.

The camera also has an IP66 rating, which offers protection against dust, rain, snow, ice and corrosion. It can operate within a temperature range of -20 to +50 centigrade.

The SD / SDHC slot in AXIS P5522-E cameras makes it possible to save recordings locally.

The outdoor AXIS P5522-E has an IP66 and NEMA 4x rating as protection against rain, snow, sun and dust. As a result, additional housings are not required, making installation much easier.
