The Axis 211 has a vari-focal DC-Iris lens and, if equipped with an optional outer housing, is suitable for outdoor applications.

With the built-in Web server, the AXIS 211 can be connected directly to an IP network and makes remote monitoring via a local area network or the Internet possible by using. a standard Web browser. The AXIS 211 is an ideal choice for professional monitoring of offices, shops and many other facilities.

The AXIS 211 offers Motion JPEG-based video at 30 frames per second. For applications where the available bandwidth is limited and still requires high frame rates, a downloadable upgrade with MPEG-4 support will be available mid-3rd quarter of 2004.
